Many seem to have some sort of immunity when you are about to kill them they become invincible, stupid. Others have like 99% block chance and even if it states they block attacks the also block spells. Combine that with remnant mods that give them immunities, the regen mod that can make them unkillable if you play a dot build and of course the extra dodge/block on remnants. Sorry but this league is the least fun for me, I even had more fun on Ultimatum than this bs league where on top of all that the rewards from league are pure garbage considering the amount of difficulty and time it takes. " Yes because brainlessly spamming attacks and running in circles is clearly more 'fun' than planning an encounter & reading a few mods for half a minute. Expedition is one of the best leagues GGG has ever made, because its YOU who completely controls the difficulty & rewards of the encounter. It drives me nuts to see people complaining about this. Next time if you think they are unkillable, do this - place explosives on all the chests and exclude every single remnant. You'll get a few less items but that's the price you pay if you don't like to read stuff. |

I'd second that, pretty great league mechanic barring a few nitpicks like shard bloat. Ritual had control over rewards and ultimatum had controls over difficulty, expedition has both, plus interesting npcs, plus bosses. And it's rewarding too, selling rog crafts has probably been my premier source of income. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs. ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/balancedux]► |

" Technically, it isn't. Let's say you have two 1/100 rolls, when they're layered you have to roll both so your chances are lower, and when they're separate your chances are higher. Sure, it's very random, but you have some degree of control over the process. And it's a different kind of crafting, when crafting we usually go for some specific result, with rog you don't really know what you're going to get and I think that's what makes it fun. When you aren't going for something specific you aren't actively 'working' on something, so you don't care if the craft fails and mats are plentiful enough not to care about them either, you're just playing around. I said I EVEN had more fun on Ultimatum which I think it was one of the worst leagues so far, agree on not having fun running in circles and many other non-fun stuff from that bs league. You can indeed ignore all the boosts to rewards that doesn't seem to do nothing but boost monters but it doesn't matter. Runic monsters will still have the same unkillable effect when they are low on life and they will spawn multiple of those shield block mobs that will force you to go melee with them, and even then you need to be behind or flank them, right in rape position for the ranged mobs to well, rape you. One of the best legues so far you say, you haven't played that many leagues in the past then. The risk reward in this league is pure garbage, from all the trouble you get some special currency that can only be used to buy useless stuff from npcs, except Tujen. The other 2 will offer you almost 100% of the time the lowest bases to gamble or craft, and the crafting is still sh*t even after the changes. Logbooks are decent, but just that, decent xp and a some loot. Not much worth the trouble and the rarity of drops of those logbooks. On top of that, all those little rewards require you to put at huge risk or just skip most of it because some bs like: immunity, extremely high amounts of dodge/block (one remnant that gives 50% is just too much), no-crits, 30% regen, and many other stuff that will prevent your build from doing that so you have to skip it. Then what's the fun if you keep wasting time skiping all the potentially good stuff and then reap your rewards, some lesser and common artifacts. This is just another "ignore and walk past league mechanics" league. |

The shield mobs with stupid block rate, they not only have an already high amount of block chance by default but they also don't seem to care about block recovery rate, they can block spells too even if it says they only block attacks. Then there's the other thing that some monsters seem to have an unkillable effect when they are low-life or something. I swear the amount of times I am hitting somthing just fine and right when they have like 1 hp they stop taking damage, and it's not the ward which should only prevent 1 hit and that's it, it's like an immunity frame. Long frame, then they die. It also happened with dot. Some type of mobs must either have that ability or cast it on other monsters. Either way, it just makes it take even more time to do each encounter, more annoying even if you skip every annoying remnant and then the rewards are just garbage. The crafting guy can give you very good items yes, one in a million with all the layers of rng. Always poor bases and his rerolls have very low drop rate. Then he offers you to randomize stuff which either ends directly breaking the item or it does on the next craft. So you either gamble or settle for mediocre crafts. And losing in that way is furstrating for me because you are losing the artifacts which took time to get and were the only "reward" from the chests and monsters besides scrolls or transmute orbs. And I'm talking about red map t15-16 expeditions. Dannig is just there to compensate some low drops from artifacts, pretty pointless except for logbook sells. Gweneg, almost 99% garbage. I'm glad you are all having such fun this league, but I'm not and I wanted to give my personal feedback. |
