Speak with Sirona

Head to The Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade and speak with Sirona, who will tell you that they have a goblin friend called Lodgok. You mention you’d like to speak to Lodgok about Ranrok, and Sirona tells you that he’ll likely be at the Hogs Head.

Speak with Lodgok

Head down the road in Hogsmeade to the Hogs Head tavern, and speak to Lodgok at the table on the left-hand side.

Explain that Sirona trust you, and Lodgok will reveal a plan of his that will allow him to learn of what Ranrok’s plans are, but a sacred Goblin relic will be needed.

Meet Lodgok At the Witch’s Tomb

Just outside of Hogsmeade, meet up with Lodgok and follow him to the nearby Collector’s Cave Floo Flame location.

On route, he will explain the relic you are after is the Helmet of Urtkot. After arriving and having a brief conversation with Lodgok, enter the Collector’s Cave.

The Collector’s Cave

Once inside, head down the path and you’ll arrive at a locked door with moths.

Head down the passageway to the left, and use Lumos to lure the third moth back to the door.

Stop casting Lumos to let the moth go, unlocking the door. In the room ahead, there will be a large chest in the alcove on the left.

Continuing to follow the path lit with wall sconces, you’ll arrive in a circular room with another moth door on the far side. All three moths are missing from this door, so you’ll need to collect them and bring them back. Two are on either side of this circular room, and the third is behind a set of broken doors, just to the right of the moth door, that you’ll need to cast Depulso on to blast open.

With all three moths in place on the door, continue down the path and in the next room you’ll encounter Inferi, undead enemies that can only be harmed once set on fire. Use spells like Confringo or Incendio, as well as Ancient Magic Throw using explosive barrels around the room to deal with them, with a Duelling Feat being to use a Mandrake during the fight.

Further down the path, another moth door appears before you.

In the center of the room is a mechanism, which you’ll need to place one of the two moths nearby on to power it.

After doing so, step on the platform on the right side of the room, and cast Depulso on the now powered mechanism in the center to raise you up, letting you climb up the wall to reach the third moth needed for the door.

Drop down and place the moth in the door using Lumos, retrieve the moth from the mechanism, and then the other moth on ground level in this room to unlock the door and progress. In the next room down the path, you’ll see a hanging crate. Use Basic Cast to break the rope and drop the crate, breaking the floor allowing you to drop down.

Before you do, you can Depulso another set of broken doors on the right, and use Accio to drag a crate around, letting you reach to high platforms in that room with one chest each.

Once ready, drop down through the new hole in the floor into the water, and proceed into the circular room ahead. You’ll face a large number of Inferi here, so remember to break out Confringo and Incendio early. The Duelling Feats here will be to complete the battle in under 2 minutes, and to slice a frozen enemy (done by freezing an enemy with Glacius and then hitting them with Diffindo).

You’ll note another moth door on the upper platform on the left, and a mechanism in the center back of the room.

Grab a moth from either the left or right side of the room, and use it to power up the mechanism. Walk onto the lowered section between the two higher platforms, and then hit the mechanism with Depulso to raise yourself up and grab the moth on the right side with Lumos.

Jump across the gap and put the moth in the door, then get the other moth just to the right of the door and Lumos it into the door as well. There are in fact 4 moths in total in this room, so leave the moth in the mechanism, and drop back down to grab the moth in the alcove you didn’t take from to begin with.

Now; the issue of getting back up without switching from Lumos to Depulso and losing the moth. What you need to do is place the moth you’re holding on the moth podium on the left side of the room, then Depulso whilst on the rising platform to get back up to the moth door. From there, Depulso the mechanism a number of times and you’ll see that that podium rises as the mechanism turns, meaning you can cast Lumos from right next to the moth door to grab the moth and place it in, allowing you to progress through.

In the room down the steps, you’ll find the witches resting place. At the coffin, you’ll see a dead Ashwinder who you can search for a Signet Ring, though the Helmet has already been taken.

Once you’re ready to leave, go behind the coffin and interact with the wall to exit out to the North Hogwarts Region.

As you arrive outside, speak to Lodgok who will tell you there is an encampment nearby, and it is your best chance to get the helmet before Rookwood escapes.

Recover the Helmet from the Thieves

Once you arrive at the camp, clear out the enemies and go to the open tent on the right side of the camp.

Loot the large chest there to find the Helmet of Urtkot, and you’ll be ambushed by some Ashwinder Assassins. Deal with them, and the Inferi they summon, then return to Lodgok with the helmet.

Speaking to Lodgok, he will thank you and says he’ll take it to Ranrok to distract him from his search - potentially slipping up that he knows more than he is letting on. As the conversation ends, the quest concludes.
